I was approached by Tem to do their rebranding. A new, ambitious player in the renewable energy sector looking to disrupt the market and change the energy game. This was a very exciting opportunity to work with an ambitious brand on the precipice of going global with their revolutionary new ideas. Shifting the way renewable energy generators supply businesses, from the current opaque and expensive models, to connecting generators directly with consumers through their premier product R.E.D. (Renewable Energy Direct).
They had worked with an agency on their initial branding but were disappointed with the results - it felt hyper generic, lacked cutting edge and a heart at its core. They needed to be re-equipped with a powerful, global and human identity to better represent their already flourishing community and cut through the noise of endless gradient-washed tech startups. Predominantly B2B, they were looking to target companies of all sizes, from large corporations and factories to your local breweries and cafes. Working directly with the CMO, I developed a bold and punchy concept that feels global and local at the same time while remaining human and progressive at its heart. I developed 3 unique sustainability inspired glyphs and corresponding motion principles for how these should manifest. Combining this with a font palette that was diverse while the colour palette was concise and recognisable. Once we had locked in all of the brand guidelines, for specific deliverables, I designed a new website (still in coding development at the time of writing) and a UI library to accompany this. I'm happy to supply these Figma files on request.
As with all branding projects I think it's important to consider process when appraising the work. Alongside the below website mockups, I've also included some of the initial ideation I developed early in the process.
